Oh Boy!!

Dear Addie,

Over the past year, you have learned several phrases along with your expanding vocabulary. First of all, you have amazed us with all of the words that you have learned and that you use on a daily basis.

But the one thing that we have loved have been the phrases that you use. When you learn a new phrase, you say that phrase over and over and over again! It started with "Two Ducks." We are not sure where this one came from, but this was the first time that you put two words together. Over the weeks, it turned into "Two Dogs" and we believe this was because of the two dogs that you are around each week at Mimi and Grandpa's house (Annie and Missy).

There have been countless other phrases through the months...your favorite two phrases now are "Bus Song" and "Oh Boy." "Bus Song," of course, refers to the Wheels on the Bus song. Often times, you will add "Julie's House" to the end of the phrase. We leaned that this refers to the DVD that you sometimes watch at Julie's house with Nick and Andrew where the song is acted out. Your new phrase, "Oh Boy" is used quite a bit right now. It is even hard to know when and why you use it.

We love you and all of the words that you use!!

Love, Mommy
