Dear John,

Daddy, Mommy, and Baby John

Yesterday at church we had the honor and privilege to dedicate you, our sweet baby John to the Lord. This is something we did with your sister Addie as well. It is such a special day that we anticipate with great joy.

At our church, parents are given the opportunity to dedicate their children rather than baptizing them. It is committing yourselves as parents to do the following:

- Raise your children in the ways of the Lord according to the Word of God
- Raise your children in the church; modeling for them a life of Christian community
- Maintain marital unity
- Model for them repentance and forgiveness

We are committed to these things and more WHOLEHEARTEDLY! We will strive to raise you and your sister to know Jesus, and hope one day you both will make the choice for yourselves to follow Him.
