We had so much fun last night at Trick-or-Treat! I dressed you up in your costume - Mickey Mouse. You were so excited the day that we picked out this costume at the "Mouse Store." Of course you said that you definitely wanted to be Mickey and not Minnie! After we got all dressed up, we left Daddy and Baby John to pass out the candy at our house and we walked to a few houses close to ours to go trick-or-treating!
I had so much fun walking around with you! As we headed towards Old Mill, you saw a fire truck! You kept saying "big truck" as we walked towards it. The Westerville Fire Station around the corner from us sent out their truck to hand out candy to the kids. You walked right up to the fireman and got your "mouse paws" on two pieces of candy! It was cute how you put them right into your bag. We then walked to a few other neighbors and you did such a great job getting the candy in your paws and into your bag.
When we got back to our house, you were excited to show Daddy everything that you had in your bag. Then, you helped Daddy pass out candy to the kids trick-or-treating at our house. Daddy would hand you two pieces and you would put it into the kids' treat bags. Sometimes you would even grab a piece to hand out yourself. You thought it was great fun handing out candy! Once you came inside, you stood at the front door knocking on it saying "more kids, more kids!" All in all, we had a great first trick-or-treating experience! This was your first experience because last year we were in Chicago during Westerville's Trick or-Treat night.
Check out how eerie the sky looked last night. It had rained and hailed only about one hour before it was time for trick-or-treating. Our neighbors had a smoke machine that filled our street with lots of fog!
Two years ago, I was VERY pregnant with you. Your due date was the night before Halloween. I remember Daddy and I sitting on the front porch hoping that maybe you would come as our treat!!
Love you, Mommy
