Yep, this one didn't start out as "Dear John." You never cease to amaze me. This past Wednesday, you both had your semi-annual dentist appointments. Addie went first to show John that it was easy, and Addie, you were a champ! You were excited that they had birthday cake flavored paste! And you even had already figured out that your brother would want bubblegum flavor. You, once again, were a member of the no cavities club! The surprising moment of this visit was when Dr. Hines showed us your x-Rays! The pictures of your big girl teeth being what looks so close to your baby teeth. I have a feeling that later this year, you will have a visit from the tooth fairy!
John, even though you saw that your issue was fine and that the hygentist didn't hurt her, you screamed bloody murder and gaged yourself several times during the very brief cleaning. Dr. Hines must have heard the screaming and came in to relieve the hygentist and quickly check your teeth and put on the fluoride. There were several moments that I was sure that you were going to throw up all over us!
But now for the funniest moment... It was probably the best quote of the day. As soon as you were doing, we switched places with Addie so that the dentist could check her teeth and put on her "sparkles" (fluoride), you calmed down and very seriously said "Addie, don't be scared, it's alright!" Everyone in the room cracked up in laughter, especially since it came from the boy who just screamed through the whole cleaning!
Let's hope that in 6 months, this will all be easier! I may send you with your father!!!
